Why San Bernardino Homeowners Choose Tremron Construction

We’re an independent Tremron construction service provider in San Bernardino, and we handle everything from new Tremron paver driveways and patios to structural repairs on failing retaining walls. We also serve customers looking for Tremron in Fontana. Our difference comes down to this: we know how Tremron products behave in San Bernardino’s specific soil, heat, and irrigation conditions, and we build accordingly. We’re not authorized, endorsed, or warranted by Tremron, and we’ll never claim otherwise. But we’ve torn out enough failed paver jobs and rebuilt enough Stonewall retaining walls across this city to know exactly what works and what doesn’t. Call us at (855) 473-5620 for a free estimate.

Why Trust San Bernardino Contractors for Your Tremron Construction?

Ruben Castillo runs our crew, and his background matters here. He grew up in the Westside neighborhood of San Bernardino, watching his uncle reroof houses and frame garages on tight budgets, which taught him early that shortcuts cost more later. He went through the construction technology program at San Bernardino Valley College, then spent years in the Inland Empire doing framing, concrete, and whole-home remodels. When a Tremron paver driveway fails, we don’t guess. We dig out the base, check the compaction, inspect the edge restraints, and figure out whether the problem is drainage, subgrade, or installation. That diagnostic approach comes from years of fixing other people’s mistakes, not from a brochure.

We’re also a multi-trade general contractor, not a one-product pavers shop. That means when we install your Tremron patio, we can also handle the adjacent roof line, the kitchen window directly above it, or the French drain that keeps water off the pavers. One contractor owns the whole project. No finger-pointing between a hardscape crew and a gutter sub. If it’s not built right the first time, you’re just paying for it twice.

Common Tremron Construction Problems We Fix in San Bernardino

  • Efflorescence on Olde Roman and Boston Blend pavers. That white, chalky film on Tremron pavers is mineral salt wicking up through the paver from below. In San Bernardino, our irrigation water is heavy with dissolved minerals, and when the base doesn’t drain properly, the water hangs around, evaporates through the paver face, and leaves salt behind. The fix isn’t scrubbing with acid, which can etch the surface. It’s correcting the base drainage, improving the slope, and sometimes replacing the joint sand with something that sheds water properly.
  • Paver migration and joint sand washout. When edge restraints aren’t set into a compacted base, or when they’re flexed into place instead of spiked, the outside courses of Tremron pavers slowly drift outward. You’ll see gaps open up at the border, joints widen, and weeds take hold. We see this constantly on the flat, west-side tract neighborhoods of San Bernardino where the alluvial soil shifts with seasonal moisture. The repair means pulling the edge, re-compacting, setting proper restraint, and re-laying the field in the right pattern.
  • Retaining wall block cracking and leaning. Tremron Stonewall and Caprock walls fail when the geogrid isn’t placed correctly, the backfill isn’t compacted in lifts, or there’s no gravel drainage zone behind the wall. In San Bernardino’s semi-arid climate, people assume drainage doesn’t matter, but when the winter rains hit, un-compacted backfill settles, hydrostatic pressure builds, and the wall rotates. We’ve rebuilt walls where the top course had moved three inches out of line. Catching this early means a repair; waiting means a rebuild.
  • Surface scaling and spalling on pavers. In the high-desert fringe areas east of town, overnight freeze-thaw cycles can cause the surface of lower-grade pavers to flake. Tremron pavers are generally dense and perform well, but if the base traps water right under the paver and that water freezes, you’ll get surface pops. Good base drainage and the right joint sand go a long way in preventing this.
  • Settled or sunken paver areas. If you see a low spot in your Tremron driveway that puddles after rain, the base was likely compacted over poorly consolidated fill, or a utility trench was backfilled loose. In the older 1950s-70s neighborhoods around downtown San Bernardino, we routinely find old sewer laterals or irrigation lines that were dug up and never properly re-compacted. The repair is localized: remove the pavers, re-compact the base in lifts, and reset the field. It’s faster than most people expect.

Tremron Parts & Our Repair-vs-Replace Approach

For paver repairs, we source genuine Tremron pavers by product line and color, so the repair blends into the existing field. Color matching is easier when we know the original install date and whether the pavers have been sealed; sealers change the surface tone over time. We also use quality aftermarket polymeric joint sand and steel or aluminum edge restraints where they outperform the original materials. Polymeric sand locks joints, resists washout, and keeps weeds down better than plain joint sand, especially in San Bernardino’s UV-heavy sun.

When a wall or driveway has widespread structural failure, meaning the base is compromised, the wall is rotating, or half the pavers are cracked and settled, we’ll tell you to replace rather than patch. Patching a failing base just pushes the problem to another section. We’d rather give you honest guidance than take your money for a repair that won’t hold. If you’re on the fence about repair versus replacement, call (855) 473-5620 and we’ll take a look without charging you for the assessment.

Our Tremron Service Process – Step by Step

  1. 1
Site inspection and diagnosis. We walk the pavers or wall, check slope, look for drainage issues, probe the base, and identify the failure mode. If it’s a paver project, we’ll note the Tremron product, color, and pattern so we know what we’re matching.
  2. 2
Repair plan or full build plan. For repairs, we’ll identify exactly which courses or sections need to come up, what base work is required, and what materials we’re pulling. For new installs, we spec the Tremron product, the base depth, the geogrid (if it’s a wall), and the drainage.
  3. 3
Execution. We remove the affected pavers or wall blocks, re-compact the subgrade and base in lifts, set edge restraints properly, re-lay the Tremron units, and sweep in the joint sand. For retaining walls, we install the geogrid, gravel drainage zone, and backfill compaction that the wall engineering requires.
  4. 4
Test and verify. We check for movement, verify drainage, confirm the joint sand has set, and make sure the finished surface is level and locked in. On a warm San Bernardino day, the polymeric sand typically cures within 24 to 48 hours.
  5. 5
Warranty and follow-up. We stand behind our workmanship and will walk you through what we installed, how to maintain it, and what to watch for in the first year. If anything moves or washes out, we’ll come back.

Tremron Products We Service & Install in San Bernardino

We work with the Tremron product lines most common in San Bernardino’s residential market and also handle Tremron in Rialto. The Olde Roman pavers are the workhorse for driveways and walkways, showing up on homes across the numbered streets and the west side. Boston Blend pavers are a frequent choice for patios and pool decks because of their mixed-tone finish, and we match them regularly for repair work. For retaining walls, we install and rebuild both the Stonewall retaining wall system and Caprock retaining wall units. We don’t stock Tremron inventory at a yard, but we pull from local distributors quickly, and for common color blends, we can usually have materials on site within days, not weeks.

We Also Service These Brands

Tremron is one brand in our hardscape repertoire. We also work with Belgard and Unilock pavers, and across the rest of the home, we handle KraftMaid cabinetry, Cambria and Silestone countertops, and Kohler plumbing fixtures. You pick the brand, we handle the build.

FAQs – Tremron Construction Service in San Bernardino

How much does Tremron construction cost in San Bernardino?

Tremron Service Price Range in San Bernardino
Paver Driveway Installation $7,000 – $18,000
Paver Patio Installation $3,500 – $11,000
Driveway Sealing $250 – $700

These ranges reflect what we see across San Bernardino’s flat west-side tracts and the foothill neighborhoods east of Waterman, as well as Tremron in Glen Avon. Driveway costs swing based on square footage, whether the old drive needs demolition and haul-off, and whether the subgrade needs over-excavation because of soft alluvial soil. Sealing costs depend on the paver size and whether we’re doing any joint sand repair first. For an exact quote on your project, call (855) 473-5620 and we’ll come measure it.
